Here's an interesting news video about National Wire Services like Teleflora (Superbowl Ads), 1800Flowers (Entertainment Tonight) and the original wire service, FTD and the frustration florists have with them.

Lots of people ask us if Dragonfly is a part of these services for sending flowers out of town or to get incoming orders.  From the time we have been in business our decision was to remain 100% independent of these partnerships, as they are in direct competition with us in the marketplace, and so that we could focus our time and efforts on our local customers.  

We did however chose to partner with Flowershop Network (Who does not directly compete with local florists) to send orders in North America and do have the ability to do so when the need arises.  With the internet, smart phones and social media, I think that flowers by wire service will be a thing of the past in a few years and that's ok with us!
